Yin and Yang
At first glance, this artwork brings together two personalities that often seem to find each other: an introvert and an extrovert. One thrives in crowded rooms; the other is emotionally supported by a nearby sofa.
Spend a little longer with the piece, and it becomes less about opposites and more about timing. About how often we are simply out of sync - in mood, energy, and expectations. And how love, among many other things, might be the underappreciated skill of moving through those moments with care, until we find our way back to closeness. And I’m not talking only about romantic love here. The reflection reaches into friendships, family bonds, creative partnerships, and even the relationship we have with ourselves - all of which ask for patience, kindness, and, very often, a sense of humour.
This artwork marks the beginning of a new series in which the installations are photographed in the studio, rather than being matched to a landscape. The works focus on fragments of animals rather than complete figures, allowing them to become more abstract and open to interpretation. By removing them from a specific environment, I hope to shift the attention towards emotion, gesture, and the subtle narratives suggested by form and material.

Each artwork is produced as a fine art giclée print on luxurious 308 gsm archival Hahnemuhle Photorag paper, chosen for its velvety texture and exceptional detail reproduction. Every print is finished with a uniform 2 cm border that frames the image and allows the artwork to breathe.
The edition number is handwritten in the lower left corner, and each piece is personally signed and embossed by Helga in the lower right. This careful detailing ensures that every print is not just a reproduction, but a crafted object in its own right.
All artworks are shipped unframed and are carefully rolled and packaged in sturdy protective tubes to ensure they arrive in perfect condition. We use Royal Mail for deliveries within the UK and DHL for international orders, allowing you to track your artwork every step of the way.
