Helga Stentzel' is a Siberian-born artist based in London, UK.
'Inspired by a poem "What is good and what is bad" as a child, I spent years seeing the world in black and white while pursuing the unachievable - perfection. It took me a long time to understand that our reality with all its complications and contradictions is a lot more secure than any polarizing concept no matter how convincing the ideology behind it may sound. Similarly to active listening, active looking, or looking around without judgement or expectations, can be very empowering when it comes to self-identification and deeper understanding of individuals and systems that we're integrated in'.

Helga's art is printed in London on 310 gcm museum-quality archival textured paper. Printing is done with highest-quality giclée ink - so that you can enjoy the art for years to come.
All prints are limited edition. It means there are only limited number of copies produced, and once these have sold out there won’t be any more available. Helga puts the edition number and signs the print on the front.
At first glance these sculptures seem to be just ordinary things you may have come across a thousand times. Look again, though, and their playful and whimsical side will reveal itself.
These art pieces are unique physical manifestations of some of Helga's most popular works.
Made-to-order unique playful furniture
Home is a perfect place not only to find playful similarity, but also to create it. For her own home Helga designed unique furniture pieces to be both artistic and very functional (after all, she is half-German!).
These items are available for custom order - to be built exactly as Helga’s own pieces or with adjusted dimensions.
